Today I went back to John Kelly's in Beverly Hills. I should explain that I am ten as I am writing this, and I say "back to" because I have already been there. I just haven't told you about it yet. First I sampled a Mint Fudge Truffle. Before I go any further, I would like to explain something. Almost every chocolatier who attempts to give a chocolate an herbal flavor is going to get it wrong. What I mean by this is that it is incredibly easy to give it too much flavor or too little. There is a very thin line that you must land on in terms of flavor, and this chocolate nailed it.
The display was especially nice. For example, when I ordered an 8-piece signature assortment for the family, there was a bunch of different colors of ribbon. You can see the display case in the picture and to either side of us there was a shelf filled with other chocolates and bars and assortments. And then there was the actual chocolates. There were a lot to choose from, so I did.
