Today we went to K’s Chocolate. Or so we hoped. We went to the Country Mart where K’s is located, but even though we arrived twenty minutes after the time it was supposed to have opened, it stubbornly did not open. So, we walked around for a while.
We got some books, and then went back to K’s. It was still closed. So, we left. We decided to go to Wally’s, so to Wally’s we went.
At Wally’s, we got two bars and a box. All were different. The first was from Letterpress and was a 70% São Tomé bar. I tasted peanut butter and fudge.
The next was a new brand, called Dick Taylor. They had a 55% vanilla milk chocolate bar. I tasted vanilla (duh) and a slight hint of smoke, meaning that this bar had been slightly over-roasted.
The final one was a box of four. Me and Zayda split one, because they were huge. By they I mean the truffles in the box. They were Semi-Sweet Chocolate and Caramel with Hawaiian Alaea Sea Salt. Way too long of a name. But they were good. And that concluded our adventure.
Here I am in front of K’s. They are not open, but you can see some of the stuff they have.
